Autumn Inspiration Board 2016

Hi everyone!!! Now that was one long hiatus I went! Long story short, it's been incredibly hectic with my working schedule and school schedule so please forgive me and I can say for sure that for now I will be having less posts. Not only that... on a more personal note, I do have a hard time around the holidays. As much as I love the holidays the holidays honestly stress me out and always have the tendency to depress me quite a lot. So, without getting too much into detail I have basically been trying to take it slow lately. I haven't forgotten about you guys though! Today has been one of those rare days that I stayed in and had nothing to do. No homework and nothing planned so I did some cleaning here at my home and worked on a Halloween makeup look.

So this is my fall inspiration board! A little late lol and a little different than others I have posted. I used a shirt for the background on this. Last fall consisted a lot of warm oranges and rusty colors. This year around is a little darker and more glam. My inspiration for fall is rich plums and metal golds. Definitely sophisticated and elegant with a bit of vamp to it.

What colors have been inspiring your Fall 2016?:)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Your support means so much to me!

Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel Review + Swatches

Hi everyone! :)  I am back with another review and to be honest I think the next couple of posts will be reviews because there is A LOT of new things coming out and although I feel I haven't been going too crazy with makeup holiday shopping this year, I did get some stuff that I really liked and wanted.

So, this is one of Tartes 2016 holiday items and I have been eyeing this since I first heard of it. I don't need anymore blushes but this was too beautiful to pass up. It retails for $44 and comes with 0.084 oz x 10.

Full Size Tarte Blush: 0.20 oz
Tarte Amazonian Clay Palette : 0.084 oz (each pan/ ten pans total)
Tarte Deluxe/Travel size Blush: 0.05 oz

So, the pans in the Amazonian Clay Blush Color Wheel Palette actually have more than the travel sized Tarte pans although it's pretty hard to tell just by looking at it.
 MOD: warm, nude-peach
DECO: warm pink coral
SURREAL: light cool toned baby pink
CULTURE: warm bronze rose with gold shimmer
IDOL: warm, light gold with shimmer finish
CONCEPT: warm, midtone nude blush
ICON: neutral mauve
MONTAGE: neutral rose
IRONIC: medium-dark rose with plum tones ( would have liked to see more pigment, looked too similar to MONTAGE)
CRAFTY: cool toned, champagne with a shimmer and microglitter finish (love this one!)

Overall, I really like the color selection except for Ironic. I expected for it have more pigment and be a little more plum. I also felt that ICON, MONTAGE and IRONIC could have had a little more distinction between them. They are too similar when you compare them to the upper half of the blush palette which don't appear similar at all when compared to each other. I really liked the formula on these blushes. There wasn't as much kickup as I have experienced in past holiday blush palettes. I really, really love how this palette was organized. I felt that the upper half had more summer and spring colors while the lower half had more fall and winter colors. CRAFTY is sooo beautiful by the way! I am really glad they chose some highlights into the palettes this year! :)

Tarte makes some beautiful blush palettes for the holidays. Their holiday blush palettes are always something to look forward to. This year was a little different than the last couple of previous years. Previously, Tarte would release a 5 pan blush palette, each pan with 0.158 oz each. This year, Tarte released a 10 pan blush palette, each pan with 0.084 oz each. So there is less in each blush than previous years but you still get more blush total. Some pros of this years palette is that there is more variety of blushes ( 8 blushes), more total amount of product and two highlighters. Some cons is that there is no mirror and the shape of the new 10 pan blush palette can be difficult for storage although it is still compact.

I like this years palette better just because there is more variety and more product. I can live without another mirror. I, personally, don't see myself taking this traveling because I don't see myself using this many different blushes on a trip lol

-great gift for holidays
-great variety
-better price value than previous years
-two highlights
-palette is labeled with blush names

-shape of palette is difficult to store
-no mirror
-limited edition
-some similar shades within palette

Will you picking up this palette? Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend! :)
Happy Friday,

A Calling for Chroma: Desert Life

Hey everyone welcome back :) So, today I thought I would make a color scheme using this photo which I took at Disneylands California Adventure at the Cars ride which is such a fun ride! ( A big thank you to my awesome and beautiful friend Joanna! Thanks budddy!) I went a couple of weeks ago but I really like how rusty the colors are in this photo.

These browns, tans and moss green really makes me think of casual. A nice white button up blouse with a cute tan belt with a matching tan sandals topped off with a moss green handbag. This color scheme almost has an organic feel to it and is really appropriate for upcoming Autumn! ;)

Switching to Sulfate-free haircare...OGX Coconut Curls // Curly Hair Care

Hi everyone! I'm soooo happy to be back! :) I have been having some issues with my laptop constantly overheating with the photo editing program I use but now my laptop is okay.... for now o.O Merp. It still needs some tweaking because as I type this, I can hear it overheating again. :(

So I have had my ups and downs with my hair. If you have curly hair, you probably have a good understanding of why. Curly hair is naturally drier which is why it's important to make sure your curls are getting enough moisture to help tame frizz, de-tangle locks and moisturize dry split ends.

I have heard so many different girls with beautiful curly hair saying how they make sure they use sulfate free shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners and oils. Sulfate is an ingredient found in many shampoos that strips the scalp of the oils it naturally produces which can be a good thing for many oily haired girls. But not so good for girls with curly hair. So! I have decided to follow suit and try it out for myself.

Quenching Coconut Curls Curling Hair Butter Leave In or Rinse Out
I picked up the following:
  1. OGX Quenching + Coconut Curls Shampoo
  2. OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Conditioner
  3. OGX Coconut Curls Curling Hair Butter Leave In or Rinse Out
  4. OGX Coconut Miracle Oil Penetrating Oil
  5. OGX Coconut Curls Styling Milk
First of all, Coconut Curls and Miracle Oil are two different lines in the OGX family :) Its been almost a month since I started using these lines and I would recommend this for people with dry scalp and dry hair. Ever since I started using this combo of items I have noticed that my scalp has been oilier and I have had much more hydration to my hair. That being said... this is most definitely not for someone who has an oily scalp and/or straight hair. I wouldn't say my hair is oily but I don't have a dry scalp anymore :)

My hair also has less frizz and more shine which I really, really appreciate!

In this picture my hair was still considerably wet but later in the day as it dries, it starts to expand with more volume lol :) I have also stopped using my diffuser which is also a leading contributor for split ends and heat damage! The one other product I use is the Tigi CatWalk Curls Rock Amplifier and that helps to hold the curl. Other than that my hair right now is completely OGX lol :)

If you are in the market for curly hair care and styling, I would really suggest this line by OGX. You might find your scalp a little oily. If you do, you can try using a regular sulfate shampoo once or twice a week depending how you feel your hair is doing.

Thank you for stopping by! :) What does your hair care routine consist of? Happy Labor Day! xx

Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask Collection // 1 Week Review

Hey loves :) For those regular readers, you may or may not know how stressed I have been... but yes, I have been super stressed out balancing school, work and my health. I have desperately been looking for ways to relax as my skin has also been on a rampage with my high stress and anxiety levels. I have been really neglecting skin care and I really need to start taking care more of my skin.

I came across this really, really cute and great set on Sephora. I was actually browsing HSN and I saw them advertising this and I decided to cross check on Sephora their prices and I saw that Sephora had this set of 5 different deluxe sizes for the price of 1 full size.

A full sized, full price Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask comes with 1.7 oz for $48.
THIS particular set comes with 5 x 0.5 oz ( a total of 2.5 oz ) for the same price of $48. I had to jump on this set!
Cucumber Aloe
Cucumber Aloe, use when you crave:
Sweet Citrus

Sweet Citrus, use when you crave:

Sweet Basil Mint, use when you crave:
Vanilla Apricot
 Vanilla Apricot, when you crave:
Lavender Citrus
Lavender Citrus, use when you crave:

First and foremost, these all performed the same as each other. The only difference between them is their scent. The purpose of having different colors or different scents is to provide aromatherapy which I really enjoyed! The names of the products are self explanatory such as Cucumber Aloe smells like cucumber and so on. My least favorite would have to be the Lavender Citrus only because I personally don't like lavender too much. My favorite one, hands down, is the Vanilla Apricot. It smells so yummy and comforting! It truly is so relaxing and my kind of scent. If you are into "warm", apricot or "vanilla-y" scents, you would LOVE this one. In that aspect, I really love that Josie Maran kept the same formula for all of these but changed the scents to provide aromatherapy for specific needs or for your own personal scent preferences regardless of therapeutic needs.

The first benefit I noticed was the moisturizing effect it had on my skin. I really noticed that on the second day. Throughout the week I started noticing how buttery my skin started feeling and I freaking love it! The texture of my skin significantly improved to a smooth, buttery and soft texture. I still have acne and I still have tiny, small acne bumps but I am glad to say that these mud masks did not irritate my skin whatsoever. I noticed my skin felt plumper for sure but not so much more in firmer. Maybe a little firmer but not too much. I feel like there are other products out there that firm the skin much better than these masks.

My pores have stayed the same as well. I have very noticeable pores on my nose and unfortunately I did not see an improvement with my pores. I'll be sticking to using a toner.

Another thing that I would like to point out is that as I washed it off my face, I noticed how incredibly soft my hands felt! I don't remember the last time my hands felt that soft but wow! So I thought that was cool that no only do these soften your face when you apply them as masks but also your hands when you wash the mask off.

These are NOT clay masks. These do dry down considerably but do not dry down and crack like clay face masks. These mud masks feel very comfortable on the skin and also have a very slight refreshing feeling to them.
  • These mud masks are a definite MUST if you want to moisturize your skin with the benefits of argan oil and improve the texture of skin dramatically.
  • These mud masks did make a SLIGHT difference on firmness and plumpness
  • I DID NOT notice any improvement on my pores size or reduction of acne.
-better value than the original full sized jar
- 5 different options for aromatherapy
-moisturizes skin
-softens texture and appearance of skin
-does not leave skin oily
-slightly plumped and firmed my skin
-softens hands as you wash off product from face
-great for all skin types
-helped even out dry patches and oily areas of face

-did not improve pores
-did not improve acne

Overall, these are a DREAM for those who are suffering from rough textured and/or dry skin as well as if you are into aromatherapy.

Thank you for stopping by :) Have a great week<3

Happiness is...

Whenever we find ourselves a bit lost in our hectic schedules, troubled relationships, financial priorities or even in our own insecurities as human beings it's always important to take it down a level and understand that happiness isn't always found in the way society tells us happiness should be found. Happiness can be found in little moments that we simply don't have time to appreciate anymore.

As someone who suffers from anxiety on a daily basis as well as major bouts of depression getting back to the basics of what happiness can mean is extremely essential for a better quality of life as well as a coping mechanism. It's not about how much money you spend to be happy. It's about taking in what is around you and what you make of it.

Here are some examples of everyday things that can bring us peace and comfort. :)

Happiness is...

  1. Sleeping in your bed with freshly cleaned sheets and pillowcases.
  2. Seeing dewdrops on plants and flowers.
  3. Listening to a song that can make you dance as you clean your home. (or blast some metal when I'm home alone which always puts me in a good mood)
  4. Washing your face or taking a shower after a long day.
  5. Staying in on a Saturday night with a significant other to watch your favorite tv episodes and eat your favorite pizza.
  6. Being yourself.
  7.  Reading a good book you simply cannot put down. (yes, that would be Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the photo above which I finished at 2 am the night it was released. No shame. None at all.)
  8. Watching an extra amazing sunset with shades of magenta, peach and violet.
  9. Laying underneath the stars at night and marveling at the fact that you exist.
  10. Drinking cold water on a hot day
  11. Complimenting others.
  12.  Having a really good yawn and stretch.
  13. Learning something new ( Trivia: Did you know that Saturn has over 60 moons?!)
  14. Praying, meditating or focusing on good energy/vibes.
  15. Eating your favorite healthy snack.
  16. Writing a handwritten letter to someone and sending it.
  17. Laughing at your mistakes. ( kind of like how I smashed my finger today at work and hit myself in my ear HARD with a box. Still not entirely sure how that happened.)
  18. Telling someone that you love them knowing that you mean it.
  19. Being part of some sort community where other people love the same things you love ( hey beauty community! Looking at you! :) It can be anything from comic-con to disney fanatics, gamer stuff, book clubs, zumba/fitness life, car shows, etc. I've even heard of bird watching clubs. Whatever community it is, you do you!
  20. Putting on your favorite perfume.... before going to sleep. (<--This is a good one, trust me)
Sometimes we need to just forget about how facebook, instagram, our relatives and society as a whole is trying to tell us how to be happy when happiness is already within our reach. When we are stressed or depressed it becomes increasingly difficult to see the little things that we truly do enjoy even though we may not fully appreciate it at that time but it's always good to remember that no matter how bleak things get and how much we become overwhelmed with our emotions, happiness will always be within our reach... no matter how big... or how small. :)

Thank you so much for reading! I hoped this helped some of you out in some way. I know thinking about and writing my own list of what Happiness Is for me raised my serotonin levels. :) I would love to know about the little things that brings you happiness.

Have a great rest of the week! <3

The Highlight Tag! // Ten Questions

Hey everyone! I'm back here in my happy place! Phew! So it's been a little difficult for me to keep up with the beauty world as of lately buuut I was able to see a new tag called the highlight tag! Very similar to the blush tag.

I don't think I have done a Tag yet so this is exciting for me :)

So lets give this a go shall we?

1. BEST PACKAGING: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Face Palette // Just look at it. It's so beautiful with a luxurious look and feel to it.

2. BEST NATURAL HIGHLIGHT: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette //The middle shade Incandescent Light is the most perfect natural highlight in existance. It's soft and formula is spot on.

3. BEST GOING OUT HIGHLIGHT: Becca Prosecco Palette // Because nothing speaks BAM! like a gold highlight.

4. REGRET PURCHASING: Colourpop Butterfly Beach // It's beautiful but I think I prefer powder highlights. If you prefer creams, this would work better for you. It's also too dark for my skin. Nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't work for me :)

5. FAVORITE BRAND: MAC // These aren't too shimmery like the Becca highlighters. I would say these are more an irridescent shimmer so your skin looks almost as if it's glowing.

6. MOST USED: MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in A Perfect Topping // A truly perfect name for my perfect go to highlight. Beats my Becca collection. It just GLOWS, baby!

7. LEAST USED: Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Highlight in Aura // This is absolutely gorgeous. Even though it's suited more for a cool toned individual, I still like it a lot. I do however, find it kind of difficult to wear since it is so pink and cool toned.

8. MOST EXPENSIVE: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal // Hi Becca!
9. LEAST EXPENSIVE (pictured above): ELF Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls // Hi ELF!

10. WHO DO YOU TAG? I tag you all! Yes, you, the one reading this! I would love to know what your Highlight Tag looks like! :) Please let me know if you if you decide to do a Highlight Tag or comment down in the comments down below :)

I don't have a huge highlight collection but I do feel like I have a well rounded collection of  Highlights. Thank you guys for stopping by! Have a great and safe weekend!

Eye of the Day: She-Devil

Hi everyone! :) Today I thought I would share with you guys an eye look that I was messing around with today. I literally had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted to do and it just kind of came out like this... which I'm okay with because I really like how it came out! :) I will definitely be using some more liquid lipsticks as eyeliners.

The burgundy eyeliner is surprisingly really, REALLY easy to for anyone to use even if you don't like working too much with crazy colors. It's dark enough where it doesn't look too crazy on the eye but you can still tell it's not your basic black. (It's a badass color for the upcoming Fall)  It would be really cool to try out KVD's Exorcism with some more neutral eyeshadow shades. Will definitely be experimenting with that!:)

-MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre all over lid as primer
- NARS Scorching Sun Duo (matte shade on left) as a transition shade
-Urban Decay Electric Palette Slowburn as crease color
-Urban Decay Electric Palette Savage blended into crease and all over lid
-MAC Electric Cool Shadow in Gilded Thrill in the center of the eyelid
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Love Letter in outer crease, inner crease and right inside the crease for a halo effect
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Love Letter on lower lashline
-Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Exorcism as Eyeliner
-Benefit They're Real mascara
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Tempera as browbone

Hope you guys enjoyed this look! :)

Peace to all,
Wicked Honey Bee

Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Kat Von D Serpentina Palette ( modeled by my nephew, a ball python named Butters; He's sooo adorable<3)
S-s-s-s-s-alutations everyone! Okay I'm sorry lol I was trying to get into the whole Serpentina spirit here and I don't think my parseltongue *wink, wink* (harry potter reference) form of snake speaking is spot on but nonetheless-s-s-s-s, I am s-s-s-s-uper excited to share with you guys my thoughts on the new Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow palette! S-s-s-s-s-s-o cool!... okay, seriously I'm done now. lol  :)

I have been so excited for the release of this palette since last year when Kat was barely unveiling her first sketches of the Serpentina palette. So shall we look inside? Oh! and say hi to my nephew Butters! He helped me out today by modeling the palette! :)

MINI RANT: I have to say this simply because this is my blog and I believe in respect towards others and towards oneself. I am not the kind of person that doesn't NOT leave negative reviews. Oh yes, I will leave negative reviews. I fully support being open and honest about a products flaws BUT I also believe in respecting a company and giving constructive feedback. It's called being honest with mercy. That's my motto and that's something I always try to keep in mind whenever I have something negative to say about a lot of things actually. My problem is don't be that person that goes and writes a bad review on a product only to say how mad you are you weren't able to get the product. I saw a couple of reviews on Sephora's website under the Serpentina palette which claimed a one star because the website crashed and they weren't able to get the product. That's not a review... that's a complaint on a different matter! That's not fair to the product or to any other customers that want to purchase that palette. It's called a "product review" not a "complaint center". It's immature stuff like that that I feel has put strain on the beauty community recently. Don't be that person! RANT OVER.

This is Timmy! My other nephew and he is a Boa!
This is a limited edition palette that comes with 8 pressed full sized KVD shadows and one loose pigment for a total of 9 different eyeshadows. This retails for $45 and is exclusive to Sephora and KatVon D

BLOODMILK: a warm toned, dirty rusted red with a matte finish
MEDUSA: dirty warm, medium bronze with a shimmer finish
ANKH: a warm, very dark espresso brown with plum undertones and a lot of fine gold glitter
QUEEN: a maroon with a silky shimmery finish
HIEROGLYPH: warm copper orange with a shimmer finish
NILE: a very vibrant cobalt blue with a shimmer finish
SCARAB: a forest green, emerald with a shimmer finish
VENOM: a smokey midtone amethyst with a matte finish
PROPHET (Loose Eyeshadow): a very yellow based gold with a very faint green tint to it and a metallic finish
Prophet is a removable shade
All I can say is that this is a damn good palette. All of the shimmery shades were perfected. Smooth, creamy, super pigmented and easy to blend. Bloodmilk and Venom had a drier texture than the shimmery shades but were formulated the same as the shadows from the Shade Light Eye palette. So if you are familiar with Kat Von D's eyeshadows, you know that they do have a slightly drier texture than many matte eyeshadows in the market BUT they are super soft and super easy to blend. To be quite frank, KVD matte shades are my favorite matte shades in the market and these didn't let me down. The loose pigment was beautiful as well. It didn't need a fluid like MAC Fix Plus to help adhere to the skin. It worked just fine without it and there wasn't too much fallout. Just like the pressed shadows , the loose pigment was also very pigmented and smooth. This is definitely a jewel toned palette with a good mix of warm and cool toned shades. The most unique color would have to Bloodmilk.

The packaging is pretty neat but I do have a complaint about it. The mirror is too small and since the packaging is more shaped like a box instead of flat like most eyeshadow palettes are, it does present a bit of a difficulty for me. It just doesn't feel very comfortable in the hand. When I was testing some of the eyeshadows out on my eyes, I did end up just using a compact mirror to finish.

I did end up busting out my Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Palette because I spotted some VERY similar shades... and I actually did find one where it's a dupe. Like I can't tell the difference at all. Let's take a closer look:
Hieroglyph and Harpsichord are exactly the same. I couldn't tell the difference between them at all. Neither in the formula nor the color. So just be aware that there is a repeated color from the Mi Vida Loca Remix palette. The other two that I found that were similar were not exactly the same. Queen is browner while Rewind is redder. Scarab shifted more blue while Lemmy is a truer emerald green. I personally am never really a fan of repeated colors with a change in name. Although in this case, it might be a good thing considering the Mi Vida Loca Remix was limited edition and is no longer available.

If you get the chance to get this palette, just get it. Don't hesitate. You can use some of the brighter or more lively colors on the lower lash line. The point is... the formula on this thing is fantastic.

-cruelty free
-great value $5 per shadow
-creamy, easy to blend, pigmented shadows

-limited edition
-very small mirror/ difficult to use
-repeated color from the Mi Vida Loca Remix palette

Hope you guys found this helpful! Any questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to let me know and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Thank you! Time to walk like an Egyptian to bed!

BzzAgent Buzz: NEW Loreal Pure Clay Masks in Exfoliate & Refine Red Algae, Purify & Mattify Eucalyptus, Detox and Brighten Charcoal*

Hi everyone, long time no see! June has been such a hectic and stressful month for me. I was kind of thinking it was gonna be all lovey dovey with birds chirping and butterflies fluttering about. NOPE! Not the case. I have been busy juggling a part time job with a full time school PLUS my fibromyalgia has been misbehaving a bit which really makes things harder for me. BUT I am back :)

So today I have a review, a little different than the others that I have done. These products were sent to me by BzzAgent for review purposes. If you don't know exactly what BzzAgent is, BzzAgent is an online website that sends you free products to try in exchange for honest, thorough feedback. In order to qualify for products to review, you need to fill out surveys and be active with their activities. It's a pretty easy website to navigate through and I highly recommend you sign up with them!

So I was sent these three clay face masks. These masks are from L'oreal and they are new on the market. They each retail for $12.99 and each claim to serve a different purpose. Each pot has 1.7 oz.

Exfoliate and Refine Pores Red Algae Mask, Purify and Mattify Eucalyptus Mask, Detox and Brighten Charcoal Mask
Pure Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores, 3 Pure Clays + Red Algae
The Exfoliate and Refine Red Algae mask is the only one out of the three that has small grain-like particles that helps exfoliate the skin as you wash it off.
Pure Clay Mask Purify and Mattify Pores, 3 Pure Clays + Eucalyptus
The Purify and Mattify Eucalyptus mask is my favorite and the least drying out of the three. As soon as I washed it off, I noticed very noticeably brighter skin, more than I noticed than the Charcoal mask.
Pure Clay Mask Detox and Brighten, 3 Pure Clays + Charcoal
Detox and Brighten with Charcoal mask was probably the least impressive of the bunch. It's still a good, affordable mask but there was nothing too special about it. The eucalyptus mask brightened the skin more than the charcoal mask.
Red Algae on left//Black Charcoal on right
Overall, I liked the Eucalyptus the best. I felt that it really made my skin look the best and it dried out my skin the least. However, all three did perform pretty similar. None of them irritated my skin which can be common with clay masks since they suck out more than just the excessive oil in skin; they can also suck out ALL oils from the skin. I didn't have that problem with these. I think these would be good masks for people like myself that have a combination type skin where it's not too oily or too dry. They all dried in roughly 5 to 10 minutes and needed to be taken off in 15 minutes. The Red Algae mask has a pretty cool concept to it. Considering it is a scrub and a clay mask it didn't feel harsh on the skin. I would recommend using these up to 2 times a week instead of 1 time a week which is what I usually recommend for clay masks. These were also easier to wash off than some other clay masks that I have tried. I know sometimes they can get really stuck on the skin and I am happy to report that it wasn't the case for these :) They all visibly tightened my pores, didn't leave my skin too dry and removed all of the excess of dead skin. That being said, I do still think that the Eucalyptus had a little extra brightening power and dried out my skin the least. Not too much of a difference... just a little ;)

-medium range priced clay masks
-good for sensitive skin
- brightens skin
-easy to wash off

-not cruelty free
-charcoal mask was an average performing mask

Thank you so much for stopping by! I do hope I am able to get back into the swing of blogging again. It sucks because there has been so much I have been wanting to talk about but I just have had no time. Thank you again everyone, stay safe!

*Disclaimer: I was sent all three of the items mentioned for free for review purposes. I am not being paid. As always.... my review is still my honest humble opinion.

Summer 2016 Inspiration Board

Summer is officially upon us! And one thing I will say, is that I was expecting to see some more blue. Surprise, surprise! As I was trying to put together this inspiration board and putting together colors that I thought of when I hear Summer, I gravitated less and less from blues and more towards more warm colors.

So here it is! Inspired by bright coral reefs, shimmering ocean sands, and a sunkissed glow this is my Summer 2016 Inspiration Board:) This inspiration board is short, sweet and very warm. Nothing heavy but you can definitely feel the temperature rising with these colors! This is still very laid back with just a few essential Summer colors that will make you feel like you are truly ready to go and explore the Great Barrier Reef.

Sephora Favorites Summer Crush Sun-Proof Essentials

As the weather heats up and Summer is just around the corner, I have been doing my best to stay cool and out of the sun. So, don't forget to pick up your favorite sunscreen and lather up everyday! :) Today I wanted to go over Sephora Favorites Summer Crush Sun Proof Essentials kit.
Wearing makeup in the summer can be a pain in the butt but with a kit like this, it doesn't have to be:)
This set can be found exclusive to Sephora for $40. It contains two full sized products and six deluxe sized products. This is limited edition.
Kat Von D Studded lipstick in Sexer
Deluxe Size Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Sexer, is a bright, cool toned neon pink with a settled blue shift. The formula is slightly patchy but pigmentation can be built up. Cruelty-free.
Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment
Deluxe sized Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment is a sheer cherry lip balm. I find that these can easily melt in the sun but are EXTREMELY moisturizing on the lips. Perfect for chapped lips.
Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
Full sized Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Really like the precision and control this has. A really nice black with a slight shiny finish. I personally prefer less of that "shiny-eyeliner-liquid-look". But it's okay. Reminds me a lot of Kat Von D's Liquid Eyeliner.
Blotterazzi by BeautyBlender
Deluxe sized Blotterazi, comes with one sponge. Can be used to touch up in the day as skin gets oily or makeup needs a touch up.
Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer
Deluxe sized Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer. No complaints! Worked well all day without fading or creasing the shadows.
Lancome Grandiose Waterproof mascara
Full Size Lancome Grandiose Waterproof mascara. Was really excited to try this and it does a really great job of separating lashes but falls short on the volumizing aspect. I really, really, liked the curve that the wand has. It makes it super easy to get the lower lashes. Despite it being a waterproof mascara, I did notice that it did not make my lashes fall out or become brittle which I really appreciate!
Deluxe sized Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is a setting spray applied once you are done applying all of our makeup and this helps keep your makeup in place for many hours. I'm kind of a fan of this and I'm kind of not. Although it makes your makeup last much longer it can also leave your skin feeling tight.

Deluxe sized Tarte Tarteguards. Basically a sunscreen. Packaging is really cute but I doubt I would ever buy the full sized considering how expensive it is for being a sunscreen.
Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Sexer, Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
Overall, this is a good Summer kit because it takes into account waterproof items, summer colors, moisture and long wear products that can survive through a hot day,

Looking back at this now, I'm not too sure why I personally purchased this lol. I think I bought this because this was a good deal. I mean the mascara itself is over a $30 value. It's not my normal self to be interested in a $30 mascara though. Don't get me wrong, this is a great set and if you are interested in any of these products, I definitely recommend that you get this. For me personally, I'm just okay with the products in this kit. I'm not super excited or super stoked about anything. This was more for me to try out some new stuff. That being said, this is a well rounded summer themed kit Sephora put together.
One thing that I love about Sephora Favorites in general is the packaging they come in. The box it comes in is so sturdy, that you can easily you use it to store other things like nail polishes, pencils, jewelry, etc.!

Keep in mind you are basically paying for the full sized mascara, getting the full sized Stila eyeliner for 50% off and getting all of the deluxe sized products for free. ;) Anyways, that's how I like to see it!

-great value
-summer themed (waterproof, moisture, long lasting, etc.)
-reusable packaging/box)
-versatile/universally friendly products

-limited edition
